Over and Under is one of the most popular coffee shops in London, and it is 30 seconds from the flat, amazing coffee and make sure to try their Reuben toastie.
The Kings Head is a nice local pub also 30 seconds away. The Builders Arms, Devonshire Arms and Scarsdale Taverns are also all traditional local English pubs. The Troubador is a local live music venue with lots of character (Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Adele and Ed Sheeran all played there before they were famous).
The Prince is a food/drinks court that gets lively on the weekend.
The 15-minute walk up to Hyde Park / High Street Kensington will take you through some of London's most beautiful and expensive residential streets. You can walk to the Natural History Museum, the Imperial Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Albert Hall all within 20 minutes. The best local restaurant is Margaux, and slightly further but amazingly good is Medlar. For high-end dining, do Mien Jiang in High Street Kensington (incredible views) and Elystan Street in South Kensington, a bit cheaper but excellent is Rabbit in Chelsea.
