What’s coming to RBKC: Kensington Olympia Redevelopment

What’s coming to RBKC: Kensington Olympia Redevelopment

From a historic exhibition centre to a cultural and lifestyle destination, the £13.1 billion redevelopment of Kensington Olympia is soon to start opening in phases this October 2025. Redesigning Olympia as one of London’s most exciting hubs for dining, entertainment and community, expect much more than just food and drink. Let’s dive into what’s opening:

Food & Beverages

We can expect around 14 restaurants and bars, from casual grab & go to more premium dining.

The Incipio Group has planned to include restaurants such as Juno, an affordable Italian restaurant, Wolves of Tokyo, a Japanese dining & rooftop bar, Lillie’s, a British small plates & wine outdoor restaurant, and Arbour, a burgers and fried chicken restaurant.

Des Gunewardena, former co-founder of D&D London group, is launching a large new restaurant and event space, this will include a main restaurant, café-grill, bar, outdoor dining, a basement speakeasy and an events/music space.

Entertainment

To enjoy more than just bars for entertainment, the project will also bring to the neighbourhood a theatre, a live music venue with a 4,400-capacity, and more public art/performance spaces.

Hotels

Kensington Olympia will welcome not one but two new hotels to the premises. One of them will be by Hyatt Regency for a premium stay experience, and the other by citizenM, catering to modern, design-focused travellers. Both bring a combination of business and leisure for their guests, enhancing Olympia’s appeal as a year-round destination for both visitors and locals.

Office Spaces

Modern flexible office spaces will also be included in the project, aimed at the creative and digital content industries, offering adaptable layouts, state-of-the-art technology, and collaborative environments to support innovators and entrepreneurs alike. This will help to establish Kensington Olympia as a dynamic destination for both work and leisure.

Schools

Wetherby Pembridge is a new independent, co-educational senior school for students aged 11 to 18. Opened in September 2025, it offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a professional-standard theatre, dance studios, and a glass atrium library spanning eight floors. The school is part of the Inspired Education Group and aims to provide a blend of traditional academic excellence with the latest innovations in educational technology.

Once complete, Kensington Olympia will not only honour its rich heritage as a historic exhibition centre but also establish itself as one of London’s most exciting mixed-use destinations. With a rich blend of culture, hospitality, work and leisure, the project aims to create a dynamic hub for residents, visitors, and creative professionals.
