1. The Halloween Trail (24-31 Oct)
The adventures have already begun and the Halloween Trail ends on the 31st. Follow the trail and look out for peculiar clues, twisted trees and oddities, then collect your bewitching reward when you’ve completed it. It’s a fun, family-friendly activity that gets you exploring the neighbourhood in a festive mood.
2. Workshops, events & treats throughout the week
From 24 October, you’ll find creative workshops and in-store events popping up across Kensington. Whether you’re decorating pumpkins, face-painting, crafting spooky décor or simply browsing seasonal menus, there’s plenty to join.
3. The Haunted House experience - 31 October
For something truly atmospheric, book the Haunted House at the Sambourne’s on Friday 31 October at Sambourne House. This after-hours tour features guided visits at 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm, includes a welcome drink and a short introductory film. Guests join Mrs Sambourne herself to explore the Victorian family home with a spooky twist, complete with a soundscape experience in the dining room. This is a ticketed event that starts at 6:30pm.
4. Kensington’s Peculiar Hallows’ Eve - 31 October (4-7pm)
The highlight of the week! On Halloween night, take yourself to Holland Park (via the Holland Park Gate), where the park transforms into the Playful Park of Peculiar. Think theatrical fun, dancing skeletons, glowing lights, talking frogs and a Day-of-the-Dead inspired skeleton parade. Come in costume if you like, and be ready to trick-or-treat. This is a free non-ticketed event open to all, so plan to arrive early to soak up the atmosphere.
